Tara Tobin-Rogers obtained her Master's degree from Temple University in 2021. She is dually nationally certified by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and resides in Long Island, NY. She has fifteen years specialized interpreting experience working in health care and behavioral health settings, as well as Program Management for a full service psychiatric hospital. Tara has been immersed in the field of deafness since 1998 and has worked in several capacities including community interpreting, educational interpreting, virtual and video remote interpretation.
Tara additionally holds the QMHI certification awarded by the Office of Deaf Services in Alabama, Mental Health Interpreting Training (MHIT) for interpreting in the mental health setting. She is also a supervisor for MHIT practicum attendees. Tara offers subject-matter speaker presentations for various special topics related to interpreter provisions in health care and working with interpreters. Interpreter trainings include topics of effective work within health care, behavioral health, the Demand Control-Schema, Supervision & Reflective Practices.
